Sony also notes that the camera features the longest battery life in its APS-C camera lineup (it houses the NP-FZ100 battery), giving you day-long shooting capabilities.

Movie functions include 4K HDR (HLG) movie recording with a full-pixel readout without pixel binning, S-Log3/S-Gamut3/Cine, real-time eye AF for movies, and interval shooting for time-lapses. The a6600 also includes built-in microphone and headphone jacks, ergonomic improvements over the a6500, a touch focus and touch shutter (as well as touch tracking) via the LCD, which itself also tilts up 180 degrees for varied shooting angles.

The flagship camera has 5-axis, 5-step image stabilization, an XGA OLED Tru-Finder, a 3.0-type 921K-dot LCD monitor, and is all housed in a magnesium alloy body.

Sony improves its entry-level camera line with the new a6100 mirrorless digital camera. This lightweight camera features a revised APS-C-format 24.2MP Exmor CMOS sensor with an ISO 100-32000 sensitivity that can be expanded to ISO 51200 when working under low-light conditions. It has an AF speed of 20 milliseconds and 11fps continuous shooting with AF/AE tracking and can record 4K videos in XAAVC S format. It also has 425-phase detection AF points and real-time eye autofocus for stills of numerous subjects. The a6100 has a 1.44m-dot OLED electronic viewfinder and a rear 3.0″ 921.6k-dot touchscreen LCD. It is also Wi-Fi and Bluetooth-enabled, allowing for remote camera control as well as wireless file transfers. The Sony Alpha a6100 can be purchased separately or can be purchased with either a 16-50mm f/3.5-5.6 OSS Lens or both the 16-50mm f/3.5-5.6 OSS Lens and an additional 55-210mm f/4.5-6.3 OSS Lens.
